Albarracin v. Fidelity National

Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles – CAALA President Mike Arias obtained $2.2 million verdict in sexual harassment case in Los Angeles Superior Court in May of 2018. A paralegal at a title insurance company was terminated after reporting sexually harassment by a senior attorney while on a company retreat. The jury found malice with respect to both corporate defendants on the retaliation wrongful termination and intentional infliction emotional distress, awarding $1.95 million in punitive damages in addition to economic damages.

$10 million settlement – Personal Injury

$10 million settlement on behalf of a young woman who was struck by a City of Los Angeles trash truck while crossing the street. The Plaintiff suffered extensive injuries and incurred substantial medical expenses. The matter was settled after multiple mediations.

Mosse v. CVS Pharmacy

$10 million class action settlement on behalf of CVS Store Managers for failure to pay overtime and to provide meal and rest breaks to employees who were misclassified as “exempt” employees.
