Sahar Malek

Sahar Malek is a partner at Arias Sanguinetti Wang & Team LLP, based in the firm’s Southern California office. She is an accomplished trial attorney who handles personal injury, sexual abuse and assault, and employment cases. Among her most significant work, Sahar was instrumental in obtaining an $828 million settlement on behalf of 414 survivors of sexual abuse in Los Angeles County’s juvenile detention and foster care systems. This was one of the highest average per-plaintiff recoveries achieved in a sexual abuse case against a government entity, with an average recovery of $2 million per survivor.

Numerous publications and peer organizations have recognized Sahar as one of the top attorneys in Southern California. The Daily Journal named her a California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) in 2026. She has been selected as a Super Lawyer from 2024 to present, and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2018 through 2023. The Los Angeles Times named her a Top Consumer Attorney of Southern California in 2025, and the Los Angeles Business Journal honored her in its Leaders of Influence “Thriving in Their 40s” recognition the same year. In 2026, Los Angeles Business Journal named her to the Women of Influence: Attorneys list. Sahar serves on the Board of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Before joining the firm, Sahar founded and operated a boutique solo practice in Beverly Hills, where she represented hundreds of clients who sustained injuries and damages as a result of the wrongful conduct of others.

Many of the people she represents come from marginalized communities, and Sahar’s personal experience of immigrating to the United States as a child allows her to intimately understand the discrimination and challenges they face. This empathy informs her legal practice and enables her to build meaningful relationships with clients rooted in trust. Sahar empowers her clients through compassionate counsel and relentless advocacy on their behalf.
