Sahar Malek
Sahar Malek is a partner at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, in the Southern California office. She is one of the most respected plaintiff attorneys in the state, with practice focuses in personal injury, sexual abuse, consumer protection, employment discrimination, and complex litigation. Her decision to become a lawyer was shaped by her family’s immigration from Iran, an experience that continues to shape her philosophy that lawyers should reduce fear, encourage resolution where appropriate, and ensure clients always feel protected.
Among her most significant accomplishments, Sahar played a leading role in securing an $828 million settlement on behalf of 414 survivors of sexual abuse within Los Angeles County’s juvenile detention and foster care systems. The settlement represents one of the most significant recoveries ever obtained against a government entity in a sexual abuse case and resulted in an average recovery of approximately $2 million per survivor.
Many of her clients come from underserved and historically marginalized communities. She is fluent in English and Farsi. Her personal experiences allow her to connect with clients on a deeper level and advocate with both empathy and effectiveness. Her work spans catastrophic injury cases, consumer protection matters, employment discrimination claims, and survivor advocacy. She is known for combining strategic legal advocacy with deep personal commitment to her clients.
Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Sahar founded and operated a successful boutique law practice in Beverly Hills, representing hundreds of individuals who suffered injuries and financial harm due to the misconduct of others. She founded her own firm because she believed clients deserved to be treated with greater compassion, transparency, and respect, a client-first philosophy she continues to bring to Arias Sanguinetti.
Sahar’s accomplishments have earned widespread recognition. She was named a California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) by the Daily Journal in 2026, selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer from 2024 through the present, and previously recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2018 through 2023. She has also been recognized by the Los Angeles Times as a Top Consumer Attorney and by the Los Angeles Business Journal through its Leaders of Influence and Women of Influence programs.
A recognized leader in the plaintiffs’ bar, Sahar serves on the Board of Directors for both the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA). She also serves on the Board of Governors for CAALA and chairs its Political and Legislative Committee. She is also an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ).
She earned her J.D. at Whittier Law School. Passionate about animals, she has been volunteering at Animal Rescue organizations since 2026 and has been a contributor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) since 2024.
