Craig Momita

Craig S. Momita is Trial Counsel at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers in the firm’s Southern California office. He represents clients in complex civil litigation with a particular focus on wage-and-hour class actions, employment disputes, consumer protection matters, and business tort litigation.

He advocates for individuals facing a wide range of workplace and consumer-related issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, unfair competition, false advertising, privacy violations, product defects, breach of warranty claims, and wage-and-hour violations. He also represents clients in childhood sexual assault matters and personal injury litigation, including cases brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA).

Most recently, Craig was part of the team that secured a nationwide settlement providing injunctive relief for Toyota owners and lessees affected by alleged defects in certain hands-free phone systems that caused an “Echo Issue” during calls. While Toyota denied the allegations, the settlement provided practical support and guidance to affected consumers while preserving their rights to pursue separate claims for damages, personal injury, or wrongful death.

Craig spent nearly two decades at a prominent Los Angeles employment law firm, where he litigated complex employment and wage-and-hour matters throughout California. During that time, he secured judgments and settlements totaling more than $35 million, including a multi-million-dollar wage-and-hour class action settlement and an $800,000 recovery in an individual wage-and-hour case.

His wage-and-hour practice includes class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions involving unpaid overtime, wage theft, missed meal and rest breaks, inaccurate wage statements, unreimbursed business expenses, and other workplace violations. Craig has served as class counsel in numerous cases and played a leading role in securing recoveries and workplace improvements that have benefited thousands of employees.

Craig earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he received American Jurisprudence Awards for achieving the highest grades in Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy.

He is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the State Bar of California.
