Jamie Goldstein
Jamie G. Goldstein is a partner at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, based in the Northern California office. For more than two decades, she has represented survivors of abuse, families devastated by preventable loss, and individuals whose civil rights have been violated. Her career is grounded in protection, often entering clients’ lives after the unimaginable has happened. She becomes the steady presence who helps people find their footing, protects the person behind the case, and carries the fight until families no longer have to carry it alone.
Her practice focuses on sexual abuse litigation, civil rights cases, wrongful death, mass torts, personal injury, medical malpractice and complex litigation. Throughout her career, Jamie has become known for taking on difficult cases against powerful defendants and pursuing accountability where others may hesitate.
After beginning her legal career in Chicago, where she developed extensive experience in pharmaceutical litigation, medical malpractice, and personal injury matters, Jamie relocated to California and quickly established herself as one of the state’s premier trial lawyers. Her commitment to pursuing justice has led to several significant results, including an $8.29 million jury verdict for a catastrophically injured stagehand at the Rolling Loud Festival, recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the Top Verdicts of 2024. She also helped secure a $9 million verdict against a school district involving the grooming and sexual abuse of a student by a music teacher, a case recognized by the Daily Journal among California’s top verdicts and settlements.
Jamie’s work involving incarcerated individuals and their families reflects the broader purpose of her practice. She has called attention to dangerous jail conditions, preventable deaths, failures in correctional healthcare, police misconduct, and unjust prison management. In these cases, she works to ensure that a person is seen as more than an inmate, statistic, report, or headline. Clients experience Jamie as direct, patient, and deeply protective. She listens carefully, explains complex issues clearly, and approaches each matter with a directness that reflects respect for people’s time and a desire to create progress.
A former athlete, Jamie brings discipline, preparation, and competitive drive to every matter. That instinct has also made her a natural leader within the plaintiff bar. Jamie has served in numerous leadership roles with the American Association for Justice and Consumer Attorneys of California. She currently serves as Co-Chair of AAJ’s PAC Development Committee, previously chaired its Rideshare Litigation Group, serves on CAOC’s Board of Directors, and has held leadership positions within CAOC’s Women’s Caucus.
Her honors include recognition by The Best Lawyers in America, California Super Lawyers, Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers, the Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers in California, Marin Trial Lawyer of the Year, the AAJ Distinguished Service Award, and multiple AAJ and CAOC honors. She is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Jamie earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Away from her practice, Jamie enjoys exercising, spending time with her husband and parents, and hosting family and friends.
