Chris Swift
Christopher A.J. Swift is Trial Counsel at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers in the firm’s Nevada office. His practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, class actions, mass tort litigation, consumer finance matters, and complex civil disputes throughout California and Nevada.
Most recently, Chris was part of the team that secured a $3.5 million settlement in a medical malpractice case involving a delayed PET-CT scan that was necessary to evaluate a client’s cancer treatment. The delay allowed the client’s cancer to progress, and he tragically passed away in August 2024. The recovery provided meaningful support for his surviving wife and children while helping hold the responsible healthcare providers accountable.
Throughout his career, Chris has handled matters from inception through trial and has developed a reputation for thorough preparation, practical problem-solving, and dedication to his clients. Chris has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2014 through 2020 and was named a Legal Elite honoree by Nevada Business Magazine. He recently graduated from the CAALA Plaintiff Trial Academy, reflecting his ongoing commitment to trial advocacy and professional development.
Before pursuing civil litigation, Chris originally sought to become a criminal attorney and interned with both the Public Defender’s Office and the California Innocence Project during law school, experiences that reinforced his commitment to advocating for individuals facing difficult circumstances.
Licensed in both California and Nevada, Chris regularly practices in state and federal courts. His experience across multiple jurisdictions has given him the confidence to navigate different court systems, procedures, and litigation environments while bringing a practical, adaptable approach to complex cases. He is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and Nevada Justice Association (NJA).
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego before receiving his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2006 and the Nevada Bar in 2008.
Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Born in England before moving to the United States as a child, he still credits his British roots for his dry sense of humor and lighthearted personality.
