LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2026 — Arias Sanguinetti announced that founding partners Mike Arias and Elise Sanguinetti have been named to the Daily Journal’s 2026 Top 100 Lawyers list. This annual edition recognizes 100 of California’s most influential attorneys. This marks Mr. Arias’ sixth consecutive year on the list and Ms. Sanguinetti has been selected for five consecutive years.
Mr. Arias, the firm’s managing partner, has spent four decades representing plaintiffs in class actions, mass plaintiff litigation, employment disputes, and catastrophic injury and sexual abuse cases. He served as co-liaison counsel in the litigation against the University of Southern California and former gynecologist Dr. George Tyndall that resulted in an $852 million settlement for more than 700 women. He also helped secure an $828 million settlement for 414 survivors of sexual abuse in Los Angeles County’s juvenile detention and foster care systems.
Ms. Sanguinetti represents clients in serious injury, wrongful death, sexual assault and product liability cases. Her results include a $28 million settlement for a client injured in a trucking collision and a $9 million verdict against a school district in a case involving a student sexually abused by a teacher. Her pro bono work has included representing survivors of the September 11 attacks and helping California property owners remove racist language from their property titles.
Both attorneys have served as president of the Consumer Attorneys of California. Mr. Arias is also a past president of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. Ms. Sanguinetti previously served as president of the American Association for Justice and the Alameda Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association. Both are members of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
