Reeta Matti

Reeta Matti is a Paralegal at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers in the firm’s Southern California office, where she supports the employment litigation team. She assists attorneys throughout the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, case management, document review, deposition preparation, and trial preparation.

Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Reeta spent several years working in workers’ compensation defense litigation. In that role, she gained extensive experience handling matters at various stages of litigation, including preparing pleadings and discovery, managing subpoenas and medical-legal evaluations, coordinating case deadlines, assisting with settlement negotiations, and preparing matters for hearings. Her experience working on the defense side of litigation gave her insight into how cases are evaluated and defended, a perspective she now brings to her work supporting employees and plaintiffs.

Reeta’s interest in the legal field is closely connected to her own background. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, she immigrated to the United States as a child and grew up navigating different cultures, languages, and environments. Those experiences helped shape her interest in advocacy and her appreciation for ensuring that people understand their rights.

Reeta earned her Juris Doctor in 2023. During law school and throughout her legal career, she developed a particular interest in litigation and the practical work involved in moving a case from its early stages toward resolution. She enjoys the investigative and detail-oriented aspects of litigation and takes pride in helping attorneys organize the facts, evidence, and procedural details necessary to build a case.

Reeta is multilingual and speaks English, Arabic, Aramaic. Her ability to communicate across languages and cultures has shaped the way she approaches client interactions and allows her to connect with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Outside of work, Reeta enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with her family and pet dog.
