Craig Momita
Craig S. Momita is Craig S. Momita is Trial Counsel at Arias Sanguinetti, where he represents plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, with a particular focus on wage-and-hour class actions. Mr. Momita champions the rights of individuals in a wide range of matters, including employment disputes (such as wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment), unfair competition, false advertising, consumer protection and privacy violations, product defects, and breach of warranty, as well as childhood sexual assault and personal injury cases, including those brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Arias Sanguinetti, Mr. Momita spent nearly 20 years at a prominent employment law firm in Los Angeles, where he tried several cases to verdict, securing judgments and settlements totaling more than $35 million. Most recently, he obtained a multi-million settlement in a wage-and-hour class action and an $800,000 recovery in an individual wage-and-hour case, among other notable results.
Mr. Momita’s wage-and-hour practice includes class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions involving wage theft, unpaid overtime, missed meal and rest breaks, inaccurate wage statements, and unreimbursed business expenses. He has been appointed class counsel in numerous cases and has played a lead role in securing millions of dollars in recoveries and improved workplace protections for thousands of employees.
Mr. Momita earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he received American Jurisprudence Awards for earning the highest grades in Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy.
He is admitted to practice in all California state and federal courts, and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the State Bar of California. He has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer for his achievements.
