Craig Momita
Craig S. Momita is a Senior Associate at Arias Sanguinetti. Mr. Momita champions the cause of vulnerable employees in discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes in state and federal courts
He counsels clients at both the single-litigant and class-action level, to those who have been victimized by illegal practices such as sexual, age and racial discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, consumer protection, data privacy, and childhood sexual abuse.
His practice also focuses on wage-and-hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act cases on behalf of employees for missed meal and rest breaks, overtime, wage theft and unlawful pay, wage statement violations, and unreimbursed business expenses.
He plays an active role in all aspects of his civil litigation cases – from case inception, law and motion, discovery, and settlement negotiations through final resolution. His efforts have resulted in millions of dollars in settlements and improved working conditions for thousands of employees.
Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Mr. Momita spent several years practicing civil litigation with Daniels, Fine, Israel & Schonbuch in Century City primarily in the area of insurance coverage and litigating plaintiffs’ wage and hour class actions against national retailers.
Mr. Momita graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his J.D. from where he received the American Jurisprudence Awards for obtaining the highest grades in his Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy Law classes.
Mr. Momita is admitted to practice law in both state and federal courts in California and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, American Association of Justice, Los Angeles County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Mr. Momita is recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer.
