Zachary Roberts
Zachary Roberts He supports personal injury matters and works closely with clients through case management, medical treatment coordination, insurance communications, medical records, lien resolution, and other responsibilities necessary to move matters forward. Zach brings a strong service mindset to his work and believes clients should feel that the people handling their cases genuinely care about both the quality of the work and the people affected by it.
For Zach, the connection between service and the legal profession is central to why plaintiff-side work resonates with him. The motto of his undergraduate institution emphasized entering to lead and leaving to serve, a principle that has remained with him throughout his career. He sees plaintiff advocacy service to the interests of people who may not know how to advocate for themselves or who need someone equipped to help them navigate a difficult situation.
Long before entering the legal field, Zach developed his approach to leadership through athletics. Throughout his playing career, coaches regularly identified him as someone who led by example, which naturally led Zach into coaching. Coaching taught him how to rally a group, communicate expectations, recognize different personalities, and understand that leadership is about setting an example and creating an environment where others can succeed. His diverse career spanning collegiate coaching, education, operations management, hospitality, and customer service continue to shape the way he approaches clients and colleagues today.
Professional standards are particularly important to Zach. He wants his work to communicate that he is passionate about clients, takes his responsibilities seriously, and cares about maintaining a high level of quality. He values working in environments with strong standards because professionalism, preparation, and attention to detail affect not only the individual doing the work but also the reputation and performance of the larger team. At the same time, Zach’s approach to leadership is deeply personal. He describes himself as loyal to the people close to him, someone who cares about their well-being and is willing to offer a different perspective when it may help. He tries to keep things light when appropriate while remaining dependable when people need him. That combination of loyalty, perspective, and accountability translates naturally into the way he works with clients and teams.
Zach’s academic background also gave him an early connection to law. He graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, Sport & Recreation Management. His undergraduate studies in sport and recreation management included coursework in business law, sports law, risk management, marketing, and business. He continued studying sports law while earning his master’s degree in Coaching and Athletics Administration. Although he initially viewed legal issues primarily through the lens of risk management and athlete safety, working in plaintiff-side law helped him understand the broader role the legal system can play in helping people. He earned his Master of Arts in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University, Irvine. Zach is continuing to expand his legal knowledge by pursuing an ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate through California State University, East Bay.
Outside of work, Zach remains closely connected to sports and his alma mater, particularly aquatics. He also proudly holds the title of household Jeopardy! champion and enjoys trivia and collecting the kind of obscure knowledge that keeps him prepared for the next unexpected fun fact.
