Osbaldo Lopez

Osbaldo Lopez is an Intake Specialist at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, based in the firm’s Southern California office. As one of the first points of contact for individuals seeking legal help, Osbaldo believes understanding the emotional impact of an experience can be just as important as understanding what happened. His approach combines direct, confident communication with empathy, helping prospective clients feel comfortable discussing difficult circumstances while ensuring attorneys receive a fuller understanding of what they have experienced.

His commitment to the legal field is deeply influenced by his own background. Osbaldo grew up in a family connected to California’s agriculture industry, where he saw workers including his own parents face difficult working conditions while often having limited knowledge of their legal rights. He also worked in agriculture himself, including as an irrigator and data analyst, and later recognized that some of the conditions he had accepted simply as part of the job raised concerns about worker safety and protection. Those experiences shaped his desire to help people understand that mistreatment does not necessarily mean they are without options.

Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Osbaldo gained experience at a personal injury law firm, where he served as a first point of contact for prospective clients, supported initial intake, coordinated with insurance companies, and managed sensitive legal documents. At Arias Sanguinetti, he now handles high-volume client communications and conducts intakes across more than 10 civil practice areas under attorney supervision. His work includes assisting individuals with highly sensitive matters while maintaining confidentiality and guiding prospective clients through difficult conversations with patience and empathy.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Mixteco, Osbaldo brings an additional dimension to his ability to connect with the communities the firm serves. He grew up speaking Mixteco with his family and continues to use it as his primary language with his parents. He understands firsthand that for some people, Spanish itself may be a second language and may not be the language in which they are most comfortable discussing something as complicated or personal as a legal matter. That perspective has made language access an especially meaningful part of his interest in advocacy.

Osbaldo is currently studying Business Administration and Economics at Santa Monica College and plans to continue his education, with law school among his long-term goals. His interest in both business and law reflects an ambition to understand not only legal advocacy, but how law firms and other organizations operate. Outside of work and school, Osbaldo enjoys working out, staying active, spending time with his family, and occasionally hiking.
