Jayne Bamis
Jayne Bamis is an Intake Specialist at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, based in the firm’s Southern California office. As part of the team that first connects with individuals seeking legal help, Jayne conducts client intakes in both English and Spanish, helping prospective clients share their experiences while gathering the information attorneys need to evaluate their potential cases.
At Arias Sanguinetti, Jayne manages a broad caseload of prospective clients while coordinating appointments and supporting the intake process. She has also assisted with impact statements in mass action matters, giving her experience helping capture how significant events and injuries have affected individuals beyond the basic facts of a potential claim.
That work complements Jayne’s naturally observant personality and interest in hearing people’s stories. Although she describes herself as initially reserved, she becomes highly conversational once comfortable and particularly enjoys listening to the experiences and perspectives of others. That ability to listen closely is especially valuable in intake, where important context can emerge from allowing someone the space to explain what they have experienced.
Jayne’s commitment to service extends beyond the legal field. Her previous community work includes assisting English- and Spanish-speaking individuals with naturalization applications and citizenship test preparation, as well as helping coordinate community citizenship fairs. She has also worked with families receiving rehabilitation services and served as a Resident Advisor at Chapman University, where she supported 50 residents and responded to sensitive personal, safety, and mental health situations with discretion and care.
Her experience also has an international dimension. During an internship in Madrid, Spain, Jayne helped develop sponsorship and partnership strategies and supported outreach efforts designed to secure organizational support and donations. Combined with her Spanish-language studies and community-facing experience, this work strengthened her ability to communicate and build relationships across different environments.
A graduate of Chapman University, Jayne earned bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Global Communications with an emphasis in Spanish. Her academic background brings together two areas that naturally complement her work in intake: understanding how people think about complex issues and learning how to communicate effectively across different cultures, experiences, and perspectives. Fluent in professional Spanish, she values helping make the firm’s intake process more accessible while creating an environment where prospective clients feel comfortable sharing their stories.
