Grace Gibbs

Grace Gibbs is a Law Clerk at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, working out of the firm’s Nevada office. As a law student gaining hands-on experience in plaintiff-side litigation, Grace supports attorneys across matters involving civil rights, catastrophic personal injury, and medical malpractice while continuing to develop her legal research, writing, and litigation skills.

Grace’s work at Arias Sanguinetti has given her exposure to multiple stages of litigation. She assists with drafting and responding to discovery requests in both California and Nevada, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. She has also helped draft complaints and pleadings in state and federal court and researched legal issues involving civil rights claims, including Section 1983 liability and constitutional protections under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.

Her experience extends beyond research and written advocacy into the practical preparation that happens as cases progress. Grace prepares mediation briefs addressing facts, liability, and damages and has attended mediations to support attorneys with issue tracking and follow-up. She also develops deposition preparation materials, including witness outlines and targeted questions, and assists with preparing clients by reviewing important documents and anticipated areas of questioning.

Grace has also intentionally developed experience in public service and workers’ rights. As a legal extern with the Nevada Office of the Labor Commissioner, she investigated wage claims, analyzed employer policies, audited public works projects for prevailing-wage compliance, and worked on matters involving employees recovering from workplace injuries. Her work also included collaboration with the EEOC on overlapping state wage and Title VII issues, giving her experience examining how different areas of employment law can intersect within the same matter.

Earlier in law school, Grace worked as a Tenant Rights Advocate and Community Educator with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, where she conducted client intake, researched state and local tenant protections, and prepared case information for attorney review. She has also volunteered with a family forms clinic through the Immigrants’ Rights Coalition, assisting families facing language and resource barriers with guardianship and divorce petitions. These experiences have helped shape her interest in understanding not only the law itself, but how people experience the legal system when they need assistance navigating it.

Through her clerkship at Arias Sanguinetti, Grace is focused on continuing to translate what she learns in law school into practical litigation experience. Her exposure to discovery, legal writing, client preparation, mediation, and complex legal research allows her to see how individual components of a case come together while learning directly from attorneys representing plaintiffs through consequential legal matters.

Grace is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she serves in leadership roles with the Student Bar Association, Organization of Women Law Students, and American Constitutional Law Society. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Arts with a concentration in Post-Production from Temple University.
