Assal Badrkhani

Assal Badrkhani is a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Arias Sanguinetti Wang & Team LLP. She has nearly two decades of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury, civil rights, sexual assault, and catastrophic injury cases.

Assal was honored as the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) 2023 “Paralegal of the Year,” a national recognition of her contributions to the legal profession. She is the 2024–2025 Vice Chair of the Legal Staff Committees for both the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) and the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).

Her professional affiliations include memberships with AAJ, CAALA, CAOC, and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association (SFTLA). Assal is also actively involved in legal education and mentorship, regularly presenting at conventions, webinars, and seminars focused on litigation support, case management, and legal staff development. She has dedicated countless volunteer hours to mentoring legal professionals and promoting continuing education within the paralegal community.

In addition to her work in the courtroom, Assal contributes behind the scenes by creating and managing social media content for CAALA and CAOC’s legal staff platforms. She is fluent in Farsi and is known among her peers for her deep interest in the Freedom of Information Act and her investigative instincts.

Assal earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and completed her Paralegal Certificate at California State University.

Outside of her professional commitments, Assal is a proud mother and passionate advocate for access to justice.
