Ana Lucia Ibarra
Ana Lucia Ibarra is an Accounting Specialist at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, based in the firm’s Southern California office. She supports the firm’s internal accounting operations, helping maintain accurate financial records, organized processes, and compliance across a range of day-to-day accounting functions. Her work requires a high level of precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
At Arias Sanguinetti, she supports financial recordkeeping, reconciliation, transaction review, discrepancy research, and other accounting processes that help keep the firm’s operations organized and efficient. Her path to accounting was not a traditional one. While raising two young children, she entered the security field and was later given an opportunity to assist a finance department. Working with financial records and numbers unexpectedly clicked with her. She discovered that she enjoyed the organization, formatting, and precision required by accounting and decided to return to school to formally develop those skills.
Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Ana Lucia developed a broad financial and administrative background supporting accounting departments, payroll operations, vendor management, and bookkeeping across multiple industries. Her experience has included processing payroll for hundreds of employees, managing accounts payable, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting accounting system implementations. That range of responsibilities gives her both a technical understanding of financial operations and a practical appreciation for how strong processes support an organization as a whole.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Ana Lucia brings adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to continuous learning to her work. Education and professional growth are important to Ana Lucia. She holds associate degrees in Legal Assisting and General Studies – Social & Behavioral Sciences and is currently pursuing an Associate of Arts in Accounting. Her additional training includes coursework and certifications in human resources, peer support, Live Scan fingerprinting, and security. Her long-term goal is to continue her education and eventually attend law school. As an immigrant from Mexico, Ana Lucia says coming to the United States expanded her understanding of what was possible for her professionally. She remains particularly interested in areas such as immigration and family law.
Outside of work, Ana Lucia enjoys staying active and has a history of campus involvement and volunteerism, including serving in student government and participating in a Chicano studies-focused student organization involved in community awareness activities.
