Eubanks, et al v. Panther II Transportation
Case Synopsis
Arias Sanguinetti reached a settlement in a class action lawsuit brought on behalf of independent contractors who leased equipment and provided services to Panther. The case alleged that Panther failed to honor the terms of its own Contractor Operating Agreements by withholding the full fuel surcharge that was promised when a load was initially offered.
For drivers and small business owners in the freight industry, fuel surcharges arenโt just line itemsโtheyโre critical to staying afloat. The plaintiffs argued that by changing the terms after a load had been accepted, Panther unfairly cut into their earnings and breached its contractual obligations.
Arias Sanguinetti remains committed to standing up for workers and small businesses when large corporations break their promises.
