Los Angeles is our community – our roots run deep. The people we care about – our neighbors, colleagues, and friends – are facing a devastating new reality in the aftermath of the LA County Wildfires, primarily in Altadena and the Pacific Palisades. In times of crisis, there’s an urgent need to come together and support one another. These wildfires are personal to us – they affect the homes, lives, and livelihoods of those we know and cherish. As we navigate this challenging time, we are reminded of the strength and resilience of our community, and the power of collective action in the face of adversity.
With this in mind, we are proud to announce that Arias Sanguinetti is launching the “Arias Sanguinetti Wildfire Relief Fundraiser” in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. We invite our friends, neighbors, and the broader legal community to join us in this effort to provide much-needed relief to our fellow Angelenos.
How Do I Donate to the Arias Sanguinetti Wildfire Relief Fundraiser?
You can donate to the Arias Sanguinetti wildfire fundraiser by clicking here.
During our Lahaina Wildfire Charitable Relief Efforts, we found strength in partnership, uniting with the legal community through the Maui Lawyers Care Coalition (MLCC). We are grateful to continue to extend our community reach through such an impactful organization as Habitat for Humanity. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
All proceeds raised through this fundraiser will go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles’ newly launched ReBUILD LA™ campaign, a long-term emergency response initiative.
The ReBUILD LA™ campaign will assist wildfire victims facing limited means with rebuilding their homes, relocating to other housing, essential supplies, and restoring their lives. Arias Sanguinetti has contributed the first $25,000 in support of those displaced by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires.
Donations to the campaign will:
- Help those who have lost everything rebuild or relocate, ensuring they have a safe place to call home.
- Provide essential goods through gift cards to purchase food and other necessary items.
- Support households whose homes are uninhabitable with rental or mortgage assistance and other intermediate housing needs.
- Replace home furnishings with vouchers for Habitat LA’s ReStores.
- Offer assistance to vulnerable survivors who have been left without options to afford housing.
Your support will help transform the future of our city. This is long-term work, and Habitat for Humanity is an organization that prioritizes the long-term. We’re proud to be partnering with Habitat.
What Areas Were Impacted by the LA County Wildfires?
Between January 7-10, 2025, eight wildfires — Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Woodley, Lidia, Sunset, Kenneth, and Archer — were reported in LA County. The fires have proven devastating, upending countless lives. The two areas that have seen the most significant impacts are the Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
The Pacific Palisades is a prestigious neighborhood located in the western section of Los Angeles. It’s bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the south and the Santa Monica Mountains to the north. The geography of this area, which blends coastal beauty with rugged mountainous terrain, provides a variety of landscapes and elevated views.
Altadena is a historically rich and diverse community. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, Altadena has long been known for its tight-knit, independent spirit. Altadena has thrived with a vibrant blend of Latino, Black, and other communities, supported by family-run and legacy businesses. These local — often resident-owned businesses — are the lifeblood of the area. Their destruction represents not just property loss, but a cultural and economic blow.
With a population of over 42,000, many Altadena residents work locally rather than commuting to other parts of Los Angeles. This close connection to the land and community is why the devastation of the Eaton Fire is so personal. The fire has displaced families, destroyed homes, and caused significant economic damage.
