LOS ANGELES — Arias Sanguinetti Managing Partner Mike Arias has been named one of Law360’s 2026 “Titans of the Plaintiffs Bar,” a national recognition honoring 10 attorneys who secured major victories and shaped high-impact litigation across the country.
The annual list, published by Law360, recognizes plaintiff attorneys who obtained landmark verdicts and settlements while taking on some of the nation’s largest corporations, institutions, and government entities.
Law360 highlighted Arias’ role in several nationally significant cases, including:
- an $852 million settlement on behalf of survivors abused by former USC gynecologist George Tyndall,
- a $243.6 million settlement involving former UCLA gynecologist James Heaps,
- and a $38.5 million catastrophic injury settlement for a client rendered quadriplegic during a martial arts event.
The recognition adds to a career that has produced more than $2 billion in verdicts and settlements across complex litigation, catastrophic injury, sexual abuse, consumer protection, employment, and mass tort matters. Arias also played a leading role in securing an $828 million settlement on behalf of survivors sexually abused in Los Angeles County juvenile halls and probation camps, one of the largest average per-plaintiff recoveries ever obtained in a government sexual abuse case.
“People have turned to me in their darkest moments, and I have never taken that trust lightly,” Arias said. “Every precedent that’s been set and institution that’s been held accountable represents a door opened for the next person. That is what has driven me. I believe the work we do today shapes what justice looks like tomorrow.”
In addition to his courtroom achievements, Arias has played a major leadership role within the plaintiffs’ bar. He previously served as president of both the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and Consumer Attorneys of California, while also helping launch CAALA’s Plaintiff Trial Academy to mentor future trial lawyers.
Law360’s 2026 Titans of the Plaintiffs Bar list included attorneys from several of the nation’s most prominent plaintiffs’ firms and recognized litigation spanning sexual abuse, antitrust, securities, class action, consumer, and catastrophic injury matters.
