Jacob Valentine

Jacob T.S. Valentine is an Associate at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers, based in the firm’s Nevada office. He represents plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, including personal injury, civil rights, constitutional law, and other matters involving individual rights and public accountability.

Known for his analytical approach and ability to navigate technically complex legal issues, Jacob combines strategic thinking with practical problem-solving to advocate effectively for his clients. His multidisciplinary background in engineering, business, and law allows him to approach litigation from a systems-level perspective while remaining focused on the real-world impact legal disputes have on the individuals and communities he serves.

Before joining Arias Sanguinetti, Jacob represented student organizations and advocacy groups in constitutional and civil rights litigation involving public institutions throughout Nevada. He previously served as a Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Nevada, where he litigated matters involving police accountability, public records, and students’ rights. Earlier in his career, he practiced with firms focused on social justice, open-source software, intellectual property, and data privacy, developing experience across a broad range of complex litigation and emerging legal issues.

Jacob earned his J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. This unique educational background enables him to understand highly technical subject matter while developing practical legal strategies for complex cases.

Committed to both the legal profession and his community, Jacob is a founding member of the Las Vegas chapter of the National Lawyers Guild and serves on its steering committee. Originally from rural Southern Nevada, he spent several years in Reno before returning to Southern Nevada to practice law. Outside of the office, he enjoys acrobatics, fire arts, woodworking, and other creative pursuits that reflect his curiosity and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
