Douglas Younglove
Douglas S. Younglove is Trial Counsel at Arias Sanguinetti Trial Lawyers in the Southern California office. With more than 35 years of civil trial experience, Doug is one of the firm’s most seasoned courtroom advocates, representing clients in personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, product liability, and traumatic brain injury matters throughout California and Arizona.
He pursued a career in law because he wanted to help people, believing that professionalism, integrity, and thoughtful advocacy remain essential to serving clients effectively. Throughout his career, he has focused on helping individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives while maintaining the highest standards of the legal profession.
Throughout his career, Doug has built a reputation as a decisive and highly effective trial lawyer. During his first decade of practice alone, he secured more than 20 jury verdicts, establishing an early reputation as a formidable courtroom advocate. Over the course of his career, he has recovered millions of dollars through verdicts and settlements on behalf of injured clients and their families.
His cases have included helping obtain justice for a family in a complex product liability case against Ford Motor Company involving a fatal post-collision fuel-fed fire, as well as securing a $2.5 million recovery in a traumatic brain injury premises liability case against Walmart after demonstrating the full extent of his client’s injuries through strategic preparation and expert testimony.
Doug’s litigation background is uniquely shaped by experience on both sides of the courtroom. He began his legal career at a prominent plaintiff-side personal injury firm before serving as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. That experience provides him with a broad perspective on litigation strategy, witness preparation, trial presentation, and case evaluation while allowing him to anticipate opposing arguments and adapt quickly under pressure.
Licensed in both California and Arizona, Doug maintains active memberships in the American Association for Justice (AAJ), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association, and the Arizona Association for Justice. His long-standing involvement in the legal community reflects a career dedicated not only to advocacy, but also to mentoring younger attorneys and advancing the trial profession. Doug earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law, where he received the Highest Achievement Award in Criminal Law and served as a student instructor for incoming law students.
Outside the courtroom, Doug enjoys traveling, creative writing, and spending time with family and longtime friends. A former collegiate athlete and avid CrossFitter, he also has a creative background as an independent filmmaker, having produced feature films and post-production legal work on major films. Those creative experiences continue to shape the storytelling approach he brings to trial advocacy.
